We like to travel & want to share with you our personal favourite destinations. Today it´s about paradise in the Indian ocean – the Maldives. If you want to relax, take a break from your busy social life & come back to the nature – choose Maldivian Islands.

We choose a tiny island in the North Male Atol. You can snorkle around it in 30 minutes & say a quick “hi” to every fish you meet. Makunudu Island Resort is one of the smallest Islands of the Maldives & the one with the most beautiful reef. One hour by speed boat & you reach your personal hideaway.

It´s kind of Robinson Crusoe feeling every time. Makunudu is one of the most, might be the most environment friendly resort of the whole Maldives. It´s very down to earth & authentic. There are only few bungalows in the tropical jungles around & you can totally enjoy your privacy while getting excellent service, even if it´s fully booked.

Main attraction, except for perfect white powdery beach, turquise see through water, great fresh food is of course the wildlife. Hermet crabs, baby reef sharks, turtles, manta rays, living coral forests & thousands of bright colored reef fish, you just step out of your bungalow & make your 2 lazy steps to the beach to meet them all.

Of course here are some tips for your perfect vacation styling

• Go for floaty natural light fabrics, like cotton & linen
• Since it´s a “bare feet” island you don´t really need shoes, yet pair of you favourite birkenstocks will be a good alternative, if you want to visit other islands
• If you go to Maldivian authentic village or to Male, you might be asked to wear clothes that covers your elbows & knees.
• Don´t forget a hat & sunnies, including different bikinis they might be your only fashionable accessories on your vacation pictures
• Sun screen, sun screen, sun screen – a LOT of it with very high protection factor. We like Ladival, because it´s light, long lasting, water resistant & prevents you from sun allergy
• If you like swimming & snorkling a lot, special snorkle shirt will help you to avoid sun burn
