Jamaican heart, British style and German education – that’s how Nikeata Thompson describes herself best. Born in the UK but raised in Germany Nikeata made herself a name being one of the most prestigious and established choreographers in the german music industry. And while the first episode of this years “Got to Dance Kid’s” with Nikeata as the new main juror just aired, the time couldn’t be better to sit down with her and talk life, work and fashion.

Watch Nikeata walking and dancing the streets of London and talking about her roots, how her shopping behavior changed over the years and how she sees the connection between fashion and  dancing.

“Fashion goes hand in hand with the art of dancing and the art of singing because it helps you to express yourself”, Nikeata says, “I have to look good on stage, go with the time or be timeless, it doesn’t matter but clothes define my idea of dance, so when I go to train I have to look good so I feel good. “
